The tenth anniversary of a chance meeting
The month of November 2006 saw the 10th anniversary of the meeting of my wife-to-be, Syahidah Osman, in Brighton, England.
I had no notion that that chance meeting would lead, ten years later, to three sons, a house and a new life in a country I had never visited: Singapore. How odd the surprises of life are.
Happy Anniversary Syahidah.

I know that this comment is a bit late, and I apologize for that. I think that I've worked out that your wife was in her teens and you were in your late 20s when you first met. Did this age difference (particularly at those stages in life) present any obstacles to or difficulties in your relationship? I doubt that I am the only reader of the blog who is interested in the story of Valentine & Syahidah, as well as the stories of their children.
That is a good question...and one that we shall answer in another place than on this blog. It deserves more time than a comment post can give it.
I will say this, though: our lives have been the most improbable journeys one could ever imagine. If it had happened to anyone else I would have thought it fiction!
I am glad to know that you are interested in our lives. In time, we will express how it was and is.
Thank you for your interest. I am sorry that I cannot answer in this format.
